HW#4-2 articles related to developments in Hatal 2009

The first article

Daniel Taylor, (2009), The Great "Global Crisis of Maturity" and the New World Order, Old-Tinker News, Feb.23, 2009

This article become my choice first because it has the same topic to Mr.William's article, both of them talk about the "Global Crisis of Maturity". Second, Daniel's article raises about the revolution about technology, the Great transition and so on, these are based on Mr. William's article, so I chose this article to be a related article.

This article comes from: http://www.oldthinkernews.com/Articles/oldthinker%20news/global_crisis_of_maturity.htm

The second one

Mihail C. Roco and William Sims Bainbridge,(2002)  "Converging Technologies for Improving Human Performance." National Science Foundation., Arlington, Virginia 2002. Page 21.

I chose this article because it gives a lot of informations which are related to Mr. William's article" Emerging Technologies", it gives not only background but also the prospect for the future development of technologies and how this improve human performance.

HW#1-ying- A difficult problem in my field- Statistics

Statistics is the Science which of collecting, organizing, presenting, analyzing and interpreting data to make more available decisions. There are a lot of controversy issues in this field, but the basic of these problems is that between the vary and constant. Let me give you a example, when you toss a coin, there are two outcomes, heads and tails, you have no idea what outcome would be next, so the outcome here is variable, but when you toss the coin more than thousands times, the percentages of heads and tails would be constant. That's one of the difficult problems and it is also the basic problems that people in statistics field would deal with.
